CEC 5 Year Anniversary!!

It is truly humbling to look back at 5 years of the CEC Mission. God has been so faithful to us and we are eternally grateful for the prayers, dedication and support of countless people who have helped make the Catholic Ecology Center a BEACON of HOPE, FAITH & SUSTAINABILITY in Southeast Wisconsin and beyond!

  • March, 2021: Catholic Ecology Center begins by purchasing Camp Winding River from the Girl Scouts of America in Neosho, Wisconsin.

  • December, 2022: The CEC reaches over 9,000 visitors since opening. This is accomplished through serving over 75 parishes, schools and organizations.

  • June, 2024: Our New Building Addition Opens which includes the Holy Family Chapel, Frassati Breakout Room, Welcome Area, Gift Shop and More. The building’s sustainability features includes solar array, geothermal heating and cooling, green roof, recycled building materials and grey water system.

    June, 2024: National Eucharistic Procession stops at the CEC with nearly 200 pilgrims attending!

    July, 2024: Bishop Schuerman consecrates our Holy Family Chapel Altar.

  • October, 2025: Archbishop Grob says Mass at the CEC. He gives the CEC permission to permanently reserve the Blessed Sacrament in the Holy Family Chapel tabernacle.

    December, 2025: CEC reaches a total of over 3,000 Hours of Educational Programming through retreats, ecology programs and workshops.

  • March, 2026: CEC celebrates its 5 Year Anniversary. Over 30,000 People have come through our doors to experience God in the beauty of creation, one another and our programs.
